The benchmark results are a bit all over the place on all three devices. We can see the AYA NEO 2S handheld gaming computer have a close score with the GPD WIN MAX 2 2023 in one test, then a large gap on another. And the Ally should have higher scores but doesn’t. While running Street Fighter 6 benchmark on a loop we got a highest temperature of 68 °C and highest fan noise of 65 dB. Now, obviously, design and comfort on a gaming handheld is a very personal opinion, and many will still prefer the boxier look of the AYANEO 2021, or the more gamer-esque look of the ONEXPLAYER lineup. But, you can’t deny the beauty of an all-screen chassis. The experience of using it as a PC is also much improved from the Ayaneo Next and Air. The mouse cursor is more accurate and touch controls feel more precise. The new glass screen felt better to tap and slide my fingers across. Ayaneo has done a good job of smoothing out the user experience, which is no small feat on an operating system designed around having a full mouse and keyboard. IPS, no-bezel screen, 1920×1200 resolution, 323 PPI, 500 nits, 130% sRGB, 1200:1 Contrast ratio, 6600K colour temperature The fingerprint reader (which is also the power and sleep button) has been moved to the left side and is easier to access with the new chassis design. Waking the console from Sleep and logging in is fast, fluid, and natural. Just be careful not to press that power button by mistake when reaching for the precariously close custom button. Besides in AYA NEO you get to run the PC version of games, which can be much lower priced than the console version.
